Plain-language change summary

The revised version of SB 6269 clarifies the definition of "motor fuel" by explicitly including electricity as a fuel source and specifying that biodiesel is part of this category. Additionally, it removes certain phrasing that implied a focus on internal combustion engines, highlighting a broader range of transportation fuels. This change is significant because it reflects a modern understanding of fuel sources in transportation, accommodating not only traditional fuels but also renewable options, which could encourage cleaner energy use and support environmental goals.
