Plain-language change summary

The recent changes to HB 2229 include the removal of a specific mention about terms not being affected for board members who were in office back in 1986, as well as updates to the qualifications for board members. This update streamlines the language and clarifies the conditions under which members will be appointed, ensuring that the requirements are current and relevant. This matters because it enhances the governance of the board, making it easier to understand and potentially more effective in overseeing professional engineers and land surveyors in the state.
