What changed in the latest version
17 added · 18 removedPlain-language change summary
The latest version of Senate Bill 6189 has changed the deadline for forming additional public facilities districts from having no deadline to now allowing formation until July 1, 2028. This change means that communities have more time to establish these districts, which can help meet local infrastructure needs without rushing the process. Additionally, it maintains the flexibility that not all original participating towns, cities, or counties need to be involved in forming the new district, making it easier for local governments to collaborate on shared projects.
