The recent changes to House Bill 1546 clarify the definition of "general supervision" for certain medical procedures, specifically the supervision of imaging technologists by physicians. The new version allows physicians to supervise these procedures remotely but requires them to be within 30 miles to respond to patient needs. This shift is important because it offers more flexibility in medical care while still ensuring that patient safety is prioritized by requiring licensed practitioners to be present on-site when necessary.
