The updated version of House Bill 1684 clarifies the definition of "residential aquatic facility" to include those at single-family homes that can be rented out, expanding access beyond just residents and invited guests. Additionally, it simplifies the terminology for "water recreation facility" and includes any area designated for swimming in natural waters. These changes are significant as they help ensure that the regulations governing water facilities are clearer and encompass a broader range of recreational options, which could affect health and safety standards for these amenities.
