The recent changes to Bill HB 2317 expand the definition of early childhood education programs by removing the word "part-day," thus allowing school-day programs to be included regardless of how long they operate each day. Additionally, the bill now explicitly mentions programs located on community or technical college premises, which broadens access to early education services. These adjustments are significant because they help ensure that more early education programs are recognized and potentially supported under the legislation, improving options for families in their communities.
