The recent amendments to Senate Bill 6149 have made key updates regarding how counties are categorized based on population density. Specifically, the threshold for cities affecting population density has changed from 45,000 to 75,000 persons, making it easier for certain counties to qualify under the bill's provisions. This change is significant because it may allow more counties to access resources or support tailored to their needs, reflecting the growth and changing demographics of those areas.
