Plain-language change summary

The amended version of Bill HB 1874 now includes provisions specifically related to the treatment of textured hair, which indicates a focus on responsible hairstyling practices that acknowledge and respect diverse hair types. Additionally, it adds amendments to existing laws (RCW 18.16.020 and 18.16.030) and creates a new section, enhancing the legal framework around hair care services. These changes are significant because they aim to improve inclusivity and ensure that hairstyling practices meet the needs of all individuals, particularly those with textured hair.
