The latest version of SB 5387 has changed its focus from the "corporate practice of health care" to specifically addressing the "corporate practice of medicine." This shift involves the removal of certain sections related to health care and the addition of new sections that clarify regulations specific to medical practice. This matters because it aims to strengthen accountability and governance in medical practices, ensuring better oversight and standards in the provision of medical care.
