Plain-language change summary

The recent changes to HB 1170 involved adjusting the definitions related to artificial intelligence (AI). Notably, the term "AI system" was amended to "artificial intelligence" for clarity and specificity. Additionally, a significant point of clarification was added to indicate that "covered providers" do not include government agencies or tribal nations. These amendments are important as they aim to enhance the understanding of how AI is defined and regulated, especially in relation to data usage and provider responsibilities.
