This bill died with 2015-2016 Regular Session. It reached “In Committee” and never advanced before the session ended, so it can no longer move — a new version would have to be reintroduced in the current session.
This bill is no longer active — its legislative session has ended, so there are no live odds of enactment. It would have to be reintroduced in the current session to move again.
Summary
Existing law expressly ratifies specified tribal-state gaming compacts entered in accordance with the federal Indian Gaming Regulatory Act of 1988. Existing law further sets forth the procedures by which a materially identical compact entered into between the State of California and any other federally recognized Indian tribe may be ratified. This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to those provisions.
