The amendment to Bill SB 5408 changes the process for notifying employers about non-compliant job postings. Now, only the department or the job applicant can issue a written notice, whereas previously, any individual could do so. The amendment also tightens the correction window from 14 calendar days to 10 business days for employers to fix the issue without facing penalties. This is important because it streamlines the process and places more responsibility on the department and the job applicant, potentially reducing unnecessary claims against employers.
