The recent amendment to Senate Resolution 2087 transitions it from the "Introduced" to the "Enrolled" stage, confirming its agreement by the Senate on June 29, 2026. Additionally, it has removed a reference to Billie Brooks's involvement with the Jericho Shrine Temple and related volunteer work. This change refocuses the resolution solely on his impact in public education and community support, emphasizing his significant contributions without the details of his affiliations. It matters because it highlights Brooks's long-standing dedication to education and his role within the Washington County community, ensuring his legacy is honored in a more streamlined manner.
