The updated bill, HR 2136, now officially honors the life of Geravis Anninos Brown, who made significant contributions as a veteran and a law enforcement officer before passing away. The previous version of the bill did not include the finalized text of his achievements and background, which includes being the first African American K-9 officer in Virginia and actively participating in community programs like the Special Olympics.
