and UE WHEREAS, Chiles Family Orchards, which has been in operation for over a century, first as a D commercial production and later as a collective of “pick your own” ventures, is led today by owner and fifth- generation grower Henry Chiles;
and E WHEREAS, by offering the community local, fresh produce and an opportunity to engage with the D horticultural process, Chiles Family Orchards has become a beloved institution in the Greater Charlottesville community;
and WHEREAS, Chiles Family Orchards is producing a replica of its world-record-setting fruit to display at S R its orchards, giving patrons the opportunity to appreciate and celebrate this extraordinary agricultural feat;
2 now, therefore, be it 4 RESOLVED by the Senate of Virginia, That Chiles Family Orchards hereby be commended for setting E R the Guinness World Record for heaviest peach;
