and CE WHEREAS, during Georgina Aye's tenure as principal, Fairfax High School has recorded a significant D increase in enrollment in Advanced Placement, dual enrollment, and honors courses and the school received E its first-ever Purple Star School award for its work with military families;
and WHEREAS, Georgina Aye is committed to professional growth and advancement, and her thoughtful, D innovative leadership style has ensured that faculty and staff have the tools and support they need to meet any challenge;
she personally teaches English language classes for parents and caregivers, empowering them to navigate educational H systems and advocate for their children;
and R WHEREAS, Georgina Aye was previously honored as the 2025 Outstanding Principal by Fairfax County 2 Public Schools;
now, therefore, be it 1 RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Georgina Aye hereby be commended on the occasion of her HE R selection as the Washington Post 2026 Principal of the Year;
and, be it 2 RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for 1 presentation to Georgina Aye as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for her contributions to 6 public education in the Commonwealth.
