Harris, Sr., has provided spiritual guidance and community L leadership to the residents of Southside Richmond as pastor of Crusade for Christ Christian Church D Ministries;
and UE WHEREAS, after answering the call to the ministry, John Harris studied at Thomas Road Bible Institute, CD Virginia State University, and the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology of Virginia Union University;
and E WHEREAS, John Harris assumed the pastorate of Crusade for Christ Christian Church Ministries when it was established in the late 1980s and has helped generations of community members grow in faith while D enhancing the overall quality of life in the area through generous outreach programs;
and S WHEREAS, the transformative leadership of John Harris has not only helped Crusade for Christ Christian R Church Ministries become a beacon of fellowship for its congregation but strengthened the sense of 2 community in Southside Richmond by providing hope and assistance to those in greatest need;
now, 7 therefore, be it E RESOLVED by the Senate of Virginia, That Bishop John L.
and, be it 2 RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to 0 Bishop John L.
Harris, Sr., as an expression of the Senate of Virginia's admiration for his legacy of leade4shipleadership and compassionate contributions to the Southside Richmond community.
