82 WHEREAS, Members of the Irving Fire Department are joining with city residents on September 20, 2025, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the agency’s founding;
the agencyagency’s ’s first responders operate out of 13 stations, utilizing a fleet of 13 engines, 5 trucks, and 11 ambulances;
and WHEREAS, The Irving Fire Department has further served the community through initiatives such as the Blue Christmas program, 89S21024 TBO-D 1 S.R.ANo.A82 the Citizens Fire Academy, CPR demonstrations, cancer awareness campaigns, and the Supplies for Success Drive, which benefits area students;
among its many achievements, the department received an Insurance Services Office Class 1 rating, whichS.R. indicates it is among the top one percent of fire departments in the nation for capabilities and standards;
ANo.A82 which indicates it is among the top one percent of fire departments in the nation for capabilities and standards;
now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89thState Texasof Texas, 89th Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Irving Fire Department and extend to its leadership and staff sincere best wishes for the future;
and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolutionResolution be prepared for the department as an expression of high regard byfrom the Texas Senate.
