and WHEREAS, As chancellor, Lamar oversaw the third-largest university system in the state through a period of immense growth, including the integration of the Lamar University System 2025S0478-1 08/13/25 1 S.R.ANo.A6 and more than $1 billion in construction and renovation projects;
