The revised version of SB 75 expands the types of entities eligible for the cybersecurity services initiative, now including nonprofit organizations that provide drinking water and sanitary sewer utilities, alongside counties and municipalities. Additionally, the language has been simplified to clarify that the $7 million allocated will be used to enhance cybersecurity in these areas. This change matters because it broadens support to more public service providers, helping to protect critical infrastructure and information across the state more effectively.
