The recent amendment to Bill S 371 changes the language from "the department shall allow" to "the commission shall allow" regarding mobile driver's licenses. This shift in responsibility suggests that a different governing body will handle the issuance of these licenses. This matters because it could affect how efficiently and effectively mobile licenses are managed and issued in South Carolina.
