The recent amendment to Bill H 5293 officially designates March 5, 2026, as "Etiquette Day in South Carolina." This change highlights the University of South Carolina's Educational Talent Search Program and the importance of teaching etiquette to students, which is a key part of their eighth-grade curriculum. Holding a luncheon on this day will allow students to apply their etiquette lessons in a real-world setting, aiming to boost their self-confidence and social skills. This matters because it promotes the development of well-rounded, capable citizens through practical education.
