AN ACT ESTABLISHING A TASK FORCE ON THE REDUCTION OF STUDENT LOAN DEBT.
(Effective from passage) (a) There is established a task force to study the amount of student loan debt incurred by students and graduates inthestateandoptionsavailable for reducing suchdebt.

Such study shall include, but need not be limited to, an examination of (1) the average amount of student loan debt incurred by students and graduates in the state compared to the average amount incurred by students and graduates in other states in the region and nationally, (2) possible reasons for any differences between such average amounts of student loan debt, (3) options available to the state for reducing the amount of student loan debt incurred by students and graduates, and (4) recommendations for programs to reduce the average amount of student loan debt in the state.
Such study shall include, but need not be limited to, an examination of (1) the average amount of student loan debt incurred by students and graduates in the state compared to the average amount incurred by students and graduates in other states in the region and nationally, (2) possible reasons for any differences between such average amounts of student loan debt, (3) options available to the state for reducing the amount of student loan debt incurred by students and graduates, (4) recommendations for programs to reduce the average amount of student loan debt in the state, and (5) the relationship between race, ethnicity, gender identity, sex or age and the average amount of debt incurred by students or graduates.
(b) The task force shall consist of the following members:

149 (b) The task force shall consist of the following members:
(1) Two appointed by the speaker of the House of Representatives, one of whom is a financial aid officer at a four-year public institution of higher education in the state and one of whom is a financial aid officer at an independent institution of higher education in the state;
(c) Any member of the task force appointed under subdivision (1), (2), (3), (4), (5) or (6) of subsection (b) of this section may be a member LCO No.
