The recent amendment to Bill H 3017 removes regulations related to the sale of nonprescription products containing substances like ephedrine and pseudoephedrine, as well as the electronic monitoring system established by South Carolina law enforcement. This change is significant because it could make it easier for consumers to access these products without the previous restrictions, which were put in place to combat misuse. Essentially, this amendment aims to simplify the purchasing process for certain over-the-counter medications.
