Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to Bill H 3156 changes the rules regarding driving records for individuals who have been acquitted of certain alcohol-related driving offenses. Specifically, if a person is acquitted of these charges, any evidence of their driver's license suspension, issuance of a temporary license, or requirement to install an ignition interlock device must be removed from their driving record. This matters because it helps ensure that individuals are not unfairly penalized with a lasting mark on their record if they were not found guilty, allowing them to move forward without the stigma of an unproven offense.
