The recent amendment to Bill H 3367 changes the rules regarding rollback taxes on agricultural property that is converted to non-agricultural use. Previously, property owners were responsible for paying rollback taxes based on the last three years of agricultural valuation. Now, those taxes will only apply for the previous year. This change simplifies the process for property owners and may help encourage the conversion of agricultural land to other uses without the burden of multiple years of taxes.
