The amendment to Bill 5322 allows not just the original defaulting taxpayer, but also any other individual or entity, to pay a delinquent tax and redeem a property. This change expands the options for who can help settle outstanding taxes on real estate, which means more people can step in to prevent property loss due to tax debt. This could be particularly beneficial in situations where friends or family want to help a struggling property owner by paying their taxes.
