The updated version of Bill H 4293 introduces a new section to South Carolina's zoning laws, which states that if zoning officials determine a property's use is not allowed, all related permits automatically become invalid, and construction must stop immediately. This change ensures that developers cannot continue work on properties that do not comply with zoning regulations, promoting adherence to local planning rules. This is important because it helps maintain community standards and prevents conflicts arising from unauthorized land use.
