Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill H 5244 allows the South Carolina Department to issue deer depredation permits from January 2nd through September 14th. This change is significant because it expands the timeframe during which farmers and landowners can seek permission to manage deer populations that may be damaging crops. Extending this period could help mitigate losses due to deer and support local agriculture more effectively.
