Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to Bill S 210 update the definitions related to foreign captive insurance companies in South Carolina law. It includes clearer references to "alien captive insurance companies" and "branch captive insurance companies," which helps clarify how these entities can operate in the state. Additionally, it specifies components of a plan of operation for captive insurance companies, ensuring they meet certain regulatory standards. These changes are important as they aim to create a more structured framework for captive insurance businesses, potentially attracting more companies to South Carolina.
