Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to Bill H 4664 changes the elections for the Board of Trustees of the Greenville County School District from nonpartisan to partisan elections, starting in 2026. This means that candidates will be affiliated with political parties, which could influence how elections are conducted and how board members prioritize community issues. The shift towards partisan elections is significant as it could lead to a more politically charged environment in school board governance, impacting decision-making at the district level.
