Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to Bill H 4793 clarify the rules around how often and under what conditions pharmacy benefits managers (PBMs) and pharmacy services administrative organizations (PSAOs) can be audited. Specifically, it states that these examinations must now comply with the broader requirements outlined in Chapter 13 of Title 38. This is important as it standardizes the auditing process, ensuring greater accountability and transparency for these organizations, which play a critical role in managing prescription medication costs for health plans.
