Plain-language change summary

The amended version of Bill S 618 now includes provisions to add two new members to the Board of Public Works for the City of Gaffney, bringing the total number of commissioners to eight. It also clarifies the election process for these members, ensuring that all commissioners are elected by the local voters. Additionally, the amendment repeals two older acts from 1953 and 1967 that were previously related to the board. These changes matter because they aim to enhance representation and accountability within the board, reflecting the needs of the community more accurately.
