The updated version of Bill H 4322 now correctly refers to Mr. Walker E. Solomon Sr. instead of Dr. Solomon in the opening language, ensuring that his title reflects his actual credentials. Additionally, some wording has been streamlined, clarifying the significance of the bridge naming without losing important details about the historical context. These changes matter because they honor the contributions of both leaders accurately while reinforcing their legacy in the fight for civil rights and educational equality in South Carolina.
