Plain-language change summary

In the latest version of Bill H 4817, the definition of the areas eligible for funding—previously referred to as "seacoast area"—has been changed to "coastal counties." This shift broadens the scope of funding to more areas along the coast. Additionally, the updated text clarifies the process by which individuals can cancel roofing contracts if their insurance coverage is denied, ensuring consumers have a clear right to back out of agreements within a specific timeframe. These changes are important for better consumer protection and more inclusive support for coastal communities.
