The amendment to Bill H 3936 establishes a new fund called the Illegal Immigration Information Reward Fund. This fund is designed to offer $500 rewards to residents who provide useful information leading to the capture and deportation of illegal immigrants in South Carolina. This change is significant because it incentivizes public participation in immigration enforcement efforts, potentially increasing the number of tips received by law enforcement.
