The revised version of Bill H 3501 includes clear language to strengthen the proposed constitutional amendment guaranteeing equal rights regardless of sex. The bill now explicitly states that rights provided under this amendment cannot be denied by the federal or state governments, affirms that Congress has the authority to enforce these rights, and establishes that the amendment will take effect two years after ratification. This matters because it clarifies the legal framework to protect against gender discrimination, helping to ensure equality for all individuals.
