The recent amendments to Bill H 3265 introduce a requirement for individualized education program (IEP) teams to factor in age-appropriate and developmentally suitable instruction when designing programs for children with disabilities, specifically in comprehensive health education. Additionally, the South Carolina Department of Education will establish guidelines for these teams to follow. This change is significant because it aims to ensure that educational strategies are better tailored to meet the unique needs of each child, potentially leading to more effective learning outcomes in health education.
