The updated version of SB 753 includes changes that clarify the roles and definitions within the "Adopt-A-Road" program, such as specifying what constitutes maintenance and who can participate. Importantly, it integrates the "indemnify and hold harmless" provision, which protects volunteers from liability while working on road maintenance projects. These adjustments are meant to encourage more community involvement in keeping roads clean and maintained, which could lead to better public infrastructure and increased safety for all road users.
