The recent amendments to Bill HB 2254 clarify and refine the language regarding the certification of patients and caregivers involved in the medical marijuana program. Specifically, it emphasizes the roles and responsibilities of the Department overseeing the program and streamlines definitions related to health care facilities and practitioners involved. These changes are important because they help ensure that the medical marijuana system is clearly understood and effectively managed, which can lead to better access for those in need of medical marijuana treatments.
