The bill, HB 1963, has been updated to replace the "Department of Justice" with the "Office of General Counsel" in the board that oversees driver licensing. Additionally, it has added another position to the board, increasing the total number of members from 13 to 14 and ensuring that professionals with a diverse range of medical expertise are included. These changes are significant because they aim to enhance the board's capability to address the complexities of driver rehabilitation for individuals with disabilities, ultimately improving road safety and support for those in need.
