Plain-language change summary

The amended bill HB 1881 now clarifies that certain individuals who have not received training between January 29, 2019, and June 28, 2025, may not have to meet specific compliance requirements if they apply within a year of the new regulations being established. Additionally, it expands the age range for which pharmacists can administer immunizations; they will now be allowed to provide these services to individuals eight years and older, and administer certain vaccines to those five years and older. These changes are significant as they aim to improve access to vaccinations and healthcare services through pharmacies, particularly for younger populations.
