What changed in the latest version

The revised version of Bill SB 934 includes key changes regarding the notification process for newly enrolled cyber charter students and provisions for homeless students. Notably, this version now allows notifications to be based on whichever deadline—November 1 or March 1—comes first, making the timing more flexible for schools. Additionally, it exempts homeless students from providing their home address, which helps protect their privacy. These changes aim to streamline the enrollment process for cyber charter schools and ensure sensitive information is handled appropriately, which is important for supporting vulnerable students.
