The amendment allows food and beverage establishments to seat patrons in open-air spaces with fixed roofs or temporary awnings, provided these structures have at least two sides for egress and meet legal requirements. It specifies that these establishments do not need to comply with snow load requirements unless there is snow present on the structure. This change aims to provide more flexibility for outdoor seating arrangements, particularly in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
