Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Senate Bill No. 3361 retains its prohibition on the State, local government agencies, and private detention facilities from entering into, renewing, or extending immigration detention agreements. It continues to define these agreements as any contracts or understandings related to housing individuals for civil immigration violations. The revised bill removes previous committee language specifying committee amendments, while keeping the definitions and prohibitions intact. This change simplifies the presentation of the bill by focusing solely on the prohibitions and definitions without additional commentary.
