Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to Bill SB 95 introduces a new provision allowing pharmacists licensed in other states to obtain a provisional license in Pennsylvania more easily. Specifically, it removes the requirement for the Pennsylvania licensing board to verify if the other state's qualifications are comparable and allows applicants to bypass demonstrating competency. This change aims to address the pharmacy workforce shortage by streamlining the licensing process for qualified pharmacists, which is important for improving access to medication and healthcare services in Pennsylvania.
