Plain-language change summary

The amendment to the bill allows a corporation business tax credit specifically for subcontracting work to New Jersey small businesses. This change is significant because it creates a financial incentive for businesses to support local small businesses, though the exact impact on state revenue is not quantifiable at this time. The bill acknowledges a potential annual revenue loss to the General Fund, but the extent of this loss is indeterminate due to a lack of data on qualifying taxpayer expenditures.
