Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to SB 63 updates how stipends are provided to members of school district boards of education. Previously, only boards from certain sized districts could offer stipends, but this change removes that limitation and establishes a range of stipend amounts for board members. This matters because it allows more flexibility in compensation for board members, making it easier for smaller school districts to attract and retain knowledgeable individuals to serve on their boards.
