The amendment to Bill SB 903 updates the membership criteria for the Advisory Committee on Medical Care for Public Assistance Recipients, increasing the maximum number of members from fifteen to sixteen. This change ensures that the committee has a broader representation of health professionals and consumer group members, which is important for understanding and addressing the medical needs of low-income populations in Oklahoma. By including more voices, the committee can better inform decisions regarding the state's Medicaid program, potentially leading to improved healthcare services for those who rely on it.
