The latest amendment to House Bill 1063 has removed some detailed requirements about landlords' responsibilities regarding mold treatment and the associated penalties for failing to address such issues. Instead, it emphasizes the overall duties of landlords and tenants without specifying penalties or medical coverage for mold-related health issues. This change may simplify the bill but could reduce accountability for landlords in addressing health hazards related to mold.
